ASH CELEBRATES 30 YEARS!

To mark an incredible 30 years of innovation and craftsmanship at ASH Door Furniture, we sat down with our inspiring Director, Steve Adams. From starting as an eager apprentice in 2002 to leading the company into the future, Steve's journey is a testament to passion and progress.

With an unwavering vision for growth, Steve has been the driving force behind ASH's transformation from a manual workshop to a cutting-edge hub of technology. "My inspiration comes from seeing the potential for growth and pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve in this industry," he says.

Over the past three decades, ASH Door Furniture has brought numerous processes in-house, starting with welding and later introducing a HAAS VF2 CNC Mill Centre in 2006, which revolutionized our productivity. Today, our workshop boasts advanced CNC turning centres, including a Swiss Lathe, allowing us to produce even the smallest components of our handles in-house. This evolution has significantly enhanced the skills of our engineers, setting us apart in the industry.

In recent years, we've expanded our focus to woodworking, previously specializing solely in metal pull handles. With sustainability in mind, we now source timber from Europe, reducing transportation emissions and aligning with our environmental goals. Our beautifully crafted timber handles have even been commissioned by Starbucks for several locations.

Steve takes pride in the close-knit team at ASH Door Furniture, where junior members benefit from the expertise of seasoned professionals. "We promote a positive working environment and a strong work-life balance," he shares. The introduction of a four-day workweek, increased holiday allowances, and a festive season shutdown ensures our team feels refreshed and motivated.

Reflecting on his experiences, Steve emphasizes the importance of job satisfaction, team activities, and career development. "When our team is happy, it reflects in the quality of our products and customer satisfaction," he says.

Committed to supporting the local community, ASH Door Furniture collaborates with nearby companies and employs apprentices from local colleges. This not only boosts the local economy but also creates job opportunities within the area.

Steve and his wife, Charlie, have been at the helm for the past two years, building on the legacy of Tony Ellis. Together, they are excited about the future of ASH Door Furniture and the continuous journey of innovation and excellence.

Join us in celebrating 30 years of ASH Door Furniture and the incredible leadership of Steve Adams!
